We haven't bothered with priority boarding - it's a waste of money.

We have booked one piece of checked-in luggage for everyone (as it's cheaper to get the first one at time of booking so is included with the price of your flight (which has worked out at £78).

Additonal bags are the same price whether booked online, by phone or at the airport - a lovely £12 each (but that could be cheaper than the per kilo excess on your main bag at £5.50 per kilo)

Ski bags are going to cost £20.50 each way; might be worth packing boots with your other stuff in a large bag, trying to keep it below 15kg and finding the largest hand luggage that fits the limits!

Carry-on bags must be "less than 55cm x 40cm x 20cm" - a fairly generous cabin bag size limit.

Transfer from Treviso will probably take 2.5 hours. The hotel has booked it for us this time :-) so there should be someone from Desilvesro waiting for us with a sign saying Hotel Astoria. In case of delays I've got a mobile phone number for them.

On the way back we've agreed that the bus will pick us up from the hotel at midday, so we'll probably arrive at Treviso rather early but we've got plenty of spare time if there are any delays that way)

We’re booked in for half-board. The price is 539 euros for adults in one of their comfort rooms. If theres three of you sharing a room then there is a bit of a discount. The children are effectively getting a 20% discount but your bills will look slightly strange, as there's just one adult in the room then the adults pay an additional 20% as though they had a double room to themselves but the children then get 40% knocked off. So Wendy and Dave, your bills will be 646 euros and you'll be paying 323 euros for Josh and Aiden.

We've paid a deposit of 200 euros per room (with the exception of the room for Victoria and Marilyn as we added that one after we'd sent the main deposit so haven't had to send any extra so you'll pay the full amount when we get there). The deposit will be deducted from your final bill.

The hotel has a minibus available to shuttle us between the hotel and ski lift which runs from 8.30 to 10.00 every 5/10 min and from 15.00 to 17.00 every 5/10 minutes.

Use of the sauna, turkish bath, hay or aroma baths, finnish sauna is included (don't ask me what a hay bath is ...). It also seems like there's a swimming pool nearby that we can use for free but I haven't sussed out where it is yet, I'm sure we can cope with sorting that out if needed once we get there!

Dolomiti Superski

The ski pass office is at the cable car station (500m from the hotel) and will be open until 18:30 on the Saturday we arrive.
